Beans are ground on demand, before being tamped and extracted at 15 bar pressure, just like in a professional café. One Touch technology makes it possible to enjoy milk-based coffees without the fuss of manually frothing milk with a separate jug or steam pipe. The S2+ also features a special setting to create latte macchiato - a speciality coffee which forms into distinct layers of steamed milk, coffee and milk foam.

The dual thermoblock heating system ensures quick preparation of coffee and steamed milk. There's no need to move your cup and the height-adjustable coffee/milk nozzle accommodates a range of differently sized cups. We've made operation of the S2+ simple and completely intuitive, because you want to enjoy coffee immediately, not spend hours figuring out how the machine works. The'E-Select' dial controls drink selection and navigates the machine's settings and maintenance functions.

With the S2+ you can customise your coffee, adjusting every aspect of the drink including volume, strength, temperature and coffee to milk ratio. A Ceramic burr grinder on a home machine is truly an indulgence, but we just couldn't help ourselves.

Producing less heat than a traditional steel grinder, it ensures the delicate ground coffee isn't scalded prior to brewing. Adjustable to 5 coarseness steps, the grinder can be fine-tuned to extract every last bit of flavour.

Beans stay fresh for longer thanks to the aroma-protection seal on the hopper lid, and an LED indicates when refilling is required. You can also brew with pre-ground coffee with a dedicated dosing chute, without the need to change out the beans in the main hopper. The integrated rinsing, cleaning and descaling programmes maintain the appliance fully automatically, including the milk system. The machine is LGA Hygiene tested and approved. That's why SEVERIN have teamed up with leading water filtration specialists BWT to create a water filter custom designed for the S2+. The removable filter slots directly into the water tank, substantially reducing limescale buildup.

It also neutralises undesirable compounds often found in tap water, allowing the true flavours of the coffee to shine. Every ergonomic detail has been carefully considered in the design phase.

The elegantly curved 1.5l water tank can be removed from the side or rear, allowing access under low kitchen cupboards. Even with its curved profile, the tank still stands perfectly upright, naturally.
